2010 - 2023
At Apple, I worked in the HID Software Prototyping group.
As part of a 7 person team, I invented, illustrated and built functional prototypes of 3D Touch, Spaces, and more. Some of our work is detailed in the following patents :
Here I designed first face-tracking image filters in 2011 - Metadata-assisted image filters
Here I designed a contextual menu that has been incorporated into Apple’s new suite of AI tools - Intelligent digital assistant in a desktop environment
In Berlin I invented interface designs for startups in the fashion, productivity, and cloud computing spaces. I had a residency as a creative technologist developing interactive fashion designs with integrated electronic components including motion sensors and flexible screens, and I prototyped haptic music experiences for a wearable subwoofer called “the Basslet,” now acquired by Meta.
At Workstreams I refined Slack integration features of their kanban-based workflow management app.
At Weaveworks, I lead the design of DevOps Kubernetes experiences, and their corresponding products and command line tools.
I leveraged my technical background to create intuitive and efficient user interfaces for developers. This role required a deep understanding of user needs, supplemented with user research, and the ability to translate complex technical requirements into user-friendly designs, which reinforced my belief in the power of multidisciplinary approaches.
